Authentic Italian dining in Essex.

At Otto, we celebrate traditional Italian cooking with a modern touch.

Our sharing menu takes inspiration from Venetian cicchetti: small plates enjoyed as you move from bar to bar, discovering something different at each stop. We’ve brought that spirit to the table with seasonal Italian dishes made to explore together.

Head Chef Marco brings his own ideas to familiar Italian flavours. Having worked at Giorgio Locatelli’s Michelin-starred restaurant in London, he loves giving traditional dishes a fresh perspective.

Choose a few plates to share, find a new favourite and come back to see what’s in season.

We make everything from our bread to our mayonnaise in-house.

PIZZERIA

Our pizzas begin with a sourdough starter we’ve cared for for four years and feed every day.

Making the dough is a 72-hour process: we carefully control its temperature so it never exceeds 21°C during proofing. That slow fermentation develops its flavour and gives the finished pizza a light, airy texture, a crisp base and a medium crust.

Our pizza chefs, trained by a Neapolitan pizzaiolo, shape each pizza by hand and stone-bake it at 400°C.

We pair the dough with carefully chosen local and Italian ingredients, including creamy Fior di Latte mozzarella and Italian cured meats sliced fresh from the joint.
